Hello Again and welcome to fall!
This month the focus is on change. We all experience transitions in our life, seasons come and go, changing jobs, technology that is different every day, having children, retiring, changing homes the list goes on and on. Here is a short list of articles and books that we have enjoyed reading about change.
Why Earth has 4 Seasons from earthsky.org
Flash back to science class! “Some assume our planet’s changing distance from the sun causes the change in the seasons. That’s logical, but not the case for Earth.”
What I wish I knew when I retired from marketwatch.com
It’s more than money (we take care of that part for you) but often the relationships around you play a role in retirement.
(Book) The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg
Habits are the one constant in change. If you have a morning routine and change houses, your morning routine often comes with you.
(Book) Braving the Wilderness: The Quest for True Belonging and the Courage to Stand Alone by Brene Brown
Brown’s work dives deep into areas of change and shame. If you haven’t read anything by her this is a great one to start with.
What changes have you had in your life? Were there any resources that helped you through those changes? Please feel free to forward this email along to any friends or family who are going through changes themselves.
Until next month,
