Here's What Happens When You Reach Out To Us For the First Time
This brief 15 to 20-minute chat covers different topics. Our aim is to find shared interests and see if we can answer your questions or solve your problems. We use five questions to guide our initial talk. Here they are:
- What would you like to discuss? How do you think we can assist?
This question helps us understand your main goals and concerns. Often, when we first talk, there may be many issues all mixed up. No worries - we can sort it all out. This is your chance to share everything on your mind.
- Have you worked with a financial expert before? What went well and what didn't?
Some clients come to us from other financial advisors looking for something different. Knowing your past experiences early helps us find shared expectations. We can also discuss your experience with CPAs, attorneys, or other professionals as we aim to understand your overall life and finances.
- What would you like to know about our process and us?
We use The CLIMB Process, a series of continuous meetings that begins with this phone call and is followed by an in-depth chat. (This is where we clearly define your goals and fully understand your finances, the "C" in CLIMB.) This meeting is followed by us sharing our best ideas in a follow-up meeting (the "I" in CLIMB). You can choose whether to let us help you put your plan into action and monitor it, or to continue on your own. If you choose us, there will be paperwork to sign, and accounts will be moved under our management. This question gives us a chance to delve deeper into these areas or answer any questions you might have about working together.
- Our charges are based on assets under management. Any questions or concerns about this model?
We like to be upfront about our costs, unlike others. We want to make sure we're both clear on how we charge. Our fees are listed on your statement and are not hidden behind unclear commissions or products, so there are no surprises. If you have questions about our model or any others you've come across, we can discuss them for clarity.
- When would you like to start?
We understand, not everyone is ready to make changes right away. But if there's a deadline or you're ready to get going, we want to accommodate and be ready to start. If there are urgent issues like inheritances, bills, or tax implications, we need to address those immediately. We are here to help you find the right time to tackle each issue. It's useful when you clearly tell us when you're ready to start solving your problems.
These questions kick off a productive chat and lead into the next step of The CLIMB process.
So when you're ready, reach out and let's begin the conversation today.
